Quite possibly the coolest events going in in Southern California. No sponsors, no agenda, no judges, no rules bro! Locals Only?!? Hell no, take that territorial BS and kick it out the back door. The OB Geezer session, now 2 events old, happened this past Saturday in Ocean Beach at Robb Field Skatepark. Located right near the water in a public park. Bladers, girlfriends and dogs alike enjoyed fresh ocean breezes, burgers, bbq corn, good conversation, brews, and the occasional soccer volley. Visitors from as far as LA drove down to attend and spend some time with great friends and get some bladin in at one of the finer parks in the SD area. The star-studded list included Rachard Johnson, Kevin Gillan, Alex Miranda, Jeff Stockwell, Sean Cullen, Mike Johnson, Robert Lievanos, Dre Powell, Steve and Louie Zamoras, Rocco, Justin E, Kato, and many others including SDSF Team riders Chris Haffey and Brian Aragon. Yeah, I said it…. All concrete, Robb Field boosts a massive street course, I mean in square footage not in height, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in variety. It also houses a massive bowl, again I mean area, no transition breaks the 5 foot mark…but every bit is solid and smooth. The plan was set forth by the legendary Beau Cottington, and he even cruised around with his Hero Cam to capture the highlights of the sesh and he has blessed us all with an amazing edit. Thank to everyone who came out, it made for an amazing day…and I’d like to send a special thank you to whomever drank all my High Life.
